It doesn’t exactly sound like good parenting to bring your child to a brewery, but hear me out. Boundary Bay Brewery and Bistro is a family friendly business with better than average pub food.
They’re extremely accommodating with plenty of high chairs and a change table in the women’s bathroom. Of course, I didn’t bring my baby to eat here late at night while my husband and I slammed pints of beer down our throats, that would be bad parenting. Instead, we enjoyed lunch during a long weekend while the staff as well as the other diners smiled with approval at my daughter. She was entertaining herself by quietly playing with her toys in the highchair, although it wouldn’t matter since the place was packed. Boundary Bay Brewery and Bistro was big enough so you couldn’t hear your neighbor’s conversations unless you wanted to.
After your meal, if you’ve set up the details beforehand, you can take a brewery tour. The tour is quite interesting for a beer lover such as myself. Even if you don’t care too much about beer, it will still be a fun experience. It’s also short enough so the kids don’t lose interest, get upset and demand to leave. That right there, is a successful outing in my opinion.
